Format conversion
AVIF to JPG
AVIF compresses extremely well, but support on older devices and software is still catching up. Convert AVIF to JPG so it opens anywhere — decoding happens locally, originals are never uploaded.
Advanced
How to use
- Drag your AVIF files into the dashed box above, or click to choose files (multi-select and paste are supported).
- The tool decodes AVIF and encodes JPG locally in your browser, using this page's defaults — no setup needed.
- Download results one by one or as a single ZIP; memory is released immediately after processing, with no copies left behind.
FAQ
Will my images be uploaded?
Never. All decoding and encoding for AVIF to JPG runs inside your browser via WebAssembly. This site has no image upload endpoint at all, and it works offline.
Is it free? Any limits on file count or size?
Completely free — no sign-up, no watermark. AVIF to JPG has no file-count or per-file size limits. Since images are processed on your device, server costs are zero and this can stay free forever.
Will quality drop?
Default quality is 85 (adjustable 0–100). JPG is lossy; repeated conversions accumulate artifacts, so convert once from the original.
Does it support batch processing?
Yes. Drop dozens or even hundreds of AVIF images at once; the memory-budget scheduler processes them locally in a queue. Download individually or as a single ZIP.
Is EXIF metadata or GPS kept in the output?
No, metadata is stripped by default. EXIF and GPS data are removed from the output, so shared files never leak where photos were taken — a privacy feature by itself.
