Compress WebP

Already WebP but need smaller? By default, Smart quality finds settings for each image that look good enough at a smaller size, typically squeezing out another 20–40%; switch to Set quality if you need a fixed value. Ideal for CDN-cost-sensitive sites and huge image libraries.

How to use

  1. Drag your WebP files into the dashed box above — a whole batch at once is fine.
  2. Smart quality is on by default and picks settings for each image — nothing to tune. Need a fixed value? Switch to Set quality in the panel, with a live before/after preview.
  3. Download individually or as a ZIP. EXIF/GPS are stripped by default for cleaner output.

FAQ

Will my images be uploaded?

Never. All decoding and encoding for WebP compression runs inside your browser via WebAssembly. This site has no image upload endpoint at all, and it works offline.

Is it free? Any limits on file count or size?

Core tools free forever. Core features need no registration and no watermark. WebP compression has no file-count or per-file size limits. Images are processed on your device.

How much smaller can it get?

By default, Smart quality picks settings for each image, keeping files as small as it can with little visible difference — typically 30%–70% smaller (higher-quality, larger originals compress more). Need a fixed value? Switch to Set quality and lower it for even smaller files.

Does it support batch processing?

Yes. Drop dozens or even hundreds of WebP images at once; the memory-budget scheduler processes them locally in a queue. Download individually or as a single ZIP.

Is EXIF metadata or GPS kept in the output?

No, metadata is stripped by default. EXIF and GPS data are removed from the output, so shared files never leak where photos were taken — a privacy feature by itself.
